Penn Quaker Courage at Alumni Weekend 2026

Volunteers with banner

A multigenerational group of Penn Quaker Courage volunteers joined the festivities at Alumni Weekend May 15-17. We talked with alums, their families, and Penn faculty and staff members about the importance of urging Penn leadership to resist heavy-handed federal government attempts to control academic programs and University operations. Hundreds of participants accepted our fliers listing the key issues we are following and asking for signatures to our letter to President Jamison and Penn’s Board of Trustees. During the Parade of Classes, we held Penn Quaker Courage signs and offered these to marchers to carry. By the end of Alumni Weekend, far more Penn community members were aware of Penn Quaker Courage and how to support Penn in maintaining its integrity and independence in the face of government interference. Many thanks to the national organization Stand for Campus Freedom, as well as a generous individual donor, for funding our Penn Quaker Courage banner, signs, and stickers.
